Looking for a unique, multi-talented performer for your project? Look no further - you have found these qualities and many more in the professional Ric Carver. Actor, educator, magician, juggler, mime and stilt expert Ric Roc Zoo has busied himself performing and training others in these fields for over 25 years.
As a film and stage actor, university educator, and creator of Ric Roc Zoo and his troupe Delirio del’Arte, he has found the career niche that fulfills his every desire. Mr. Carver performs for large and smaller audiences. - Corporate and private parties, museum events, renaissance festivals/faires and other assorted events, too numerous to detail.
All ages enjoy his mad-cap comedy shows as he uses no ‘off-color’ material that may offend. Billed as a bombastic beguiler of bumbling buffoonery, his character ‘Lupe’ is especially endearing—performed in mask and spoken only in gibberish, this performance is perfect for audiences where variety languages are spoken. His juggling performances can incorporate pins, balls, fire torches, bowling balls—just about anything that he can lift! Perfecting his magic shows since he was a boy, these performances are completely awesome. Or, mix it up!
Perhaps you would like to retain just one entertainer for your event instead of several. This is an extremely cost effective way to add more variety to your event. Each character that you select may be completely different—in attire, manner and appearance. Many guests will not realize that they are enjoying the entertainment of a single performer.
Here are just two examples of the many combinations available: A semi-formal/formal occasion including three completely different characters: Hang champagne flutes or wine glasses on ribbon from the ceiling. Ric, in formal attire, will retrieve the glasses for your guests—while on stilts! During dinner he might perform table magic and end the evening with “Lupe” in a physical comedy/ burlesque act on stage. An example for a casual event: Ric Roc, a renaissance idiot and ‘uninvited” guest. He believes the year is 1627 & can’t be convinced otherwise. Speaking in an old-English accent, he will stumble around, almost drool over your guests’ food, and does an apple-spitting gag that is hilarious—you pick the recipient. Later, a strolling magician mingles with guests and finally, fire juggling.
Always open to new and creative concepts, he will tailor a show to enhance and reflect the theme of your gathering whether it be Mardi gras, holiday, grand opening—he has even opened for stage bands. Feel free to choose from his many characters to create the perfect combination for your event.
Locally and nationally, his performances are always memorable—you will want to retain him again and again!
